BIRDS OF A FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER

This is a tale of an ordinary school friendship but also an extraordinary tale of friendship that still stands with the purest conviction to last a lifetime.  The two girls, let's call them Noor and Ada, who just happened to share their seat on the first day of 5th standard in a new school, did not have the faintest idea that they'd end up sharing their life together (no, they are not gay but as they say, you aren't really best friends if you aren't perceived as gay by the people around you :P). Noor was just discovering her rebellious streak while Ada was a shy, domesticated, and an ideal daughter. 

Noor had an insatiable hunger for experiences, she wanted to see and feel everything she could and especially the things she couldn't while Ada rarely saw anything beyond her home as important enough to be experienced. Noor loved music while Ada was a dancer and every time a new dance number came on, Ada would teach Noor the steps and they'd dance together like they're on TV. Although they both gelled for the first time due to their incredible memory when it came to remembering all the lyrics of all the latest Bollywood songs, they spent hours and hours just singing them together while Ada made fun of the way Noor sang and she, in turn always believed herself to be a better singer than Ada. They were not like each other but that never bothered them, mostly because they were too young to realize their differences and by the time they did, the differences were nothing more than specks of dust that could be easily blown away. 

They became each other's definition of friendship, they were inseparable so much so that their teacher changed their sections just so they could mingle with other people but that wasn't enough to separate them, they spent all their lunch breaks and game periods together, they even bunked classes and roamed around talking about nothing and everything at once. With best friends, just like soulmates, you just know when it's right and they become an irreplaceable part of your life. In this real rational universe, they used to live in their world of fantasy; world which just belonged to them. 

Every day of their lives has been truly magical and adventurous. They went through everything together, first crush, first period, first heartbreak, first failure, first boyfriend and everything that happened in their lives, big or small, happened to both of them together. They grew up, changed cities, changed houses but their home still remains where they are together and whenever they meet, even if it's after months, it's like they were never apart. Of course, this has a lot to do with the fact that they're on the phone almost every other day.

Noor is Ada's freedom while Ada is Noor's anchor, Noor teaches Ada to let loose every once in a while and Ada teaches Noor the importance of limits, together they balance each other out. They are each other's shrinks and no problem is big enough as long as they are together because they always find a way to laugh it off and together, they will always remain those young 10-year-old girls who knew nothing of life and were really, ignorantly, goofily, happy. 

Noor is the light of Ada and Ada is style of Noor…!!! That’s how they are not scared about making mistakes, they dream big and they just know that whatever happens whole world may go against them they have a hand  to always pick them up. Some friendships are based on sacrifices, distance and sadness but this bond talks about beautiful journey of being together in this realistic world.
